the studio and allows you to set up appointments right from the palm of your hand. Also available are photography tips and the
opportunity to follow us on Facebook. We will also be offering specials that will ONLY be available to those who have the app so go to the
ITunes store or App Store on your phone and download it now! The first 5 people to download this app will get something special.

If you want to see your child pictured on the DailyPic for the front of the app, leave me a comment with your name and child’s name and I

Cocoons

January 18th, 2010

My sister, Rose Camastro Pritchett, is a professional artist living with her husband, David, in Chicago. They both teach at Columbia College in Chicago. They came for a visit
this past weekend and I had the opportunity to photograph her latest work. These cocoons are the result of performance art pieces in which a person is wrapped and sewn
into transparent cloth thus creating a cocoon. Within time the individual is cut out and released from the cocoon. This is a metaphor for change and transition. The resulting
cocoons have been reworked into its final stage. The performance art was performed in Germany, China, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.

Help Portrait

December 31st, 2009

I had the amazing opportunity to be a part of a special group of about 30 photographers, stylists, retouchers and other
volunteers who all came together for one day in early December to donate our time to a number of different charities.
Help Portrait was started by international advertising photographer Jeremy Cowart. “Help Portrait is a movement of
photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate”.
I was one of only 8 photographers and I think we all got more out of this experience than we could have ever expected.
Stay tuned for our behind the scenes video of the day.

Family Fall Foliage

October 17th, 2009

Here are a few images from this mornings sessions. The weather was not been working in our favor. It was cold, cloudy, then sunny, and then cloudy and then sunny. But we had fun and got some great images.

And the winner is—

October 15th, 2009

This past weekend I went to Tan-Tar-A in the Ozarks to attend the fall convention
for the Missouri PPA. I heard some great speakers within the industry – Rod Evans, Julie Klassmeyer and JB Sallee.
I learned a ton and am so excited to implement everything I learned. But my main goal was to enter
into the print competition. I entered 4 prints into the print judging competition. 3 out of the 4 merited.
The prints need to be named so this first one was called “Arabesque”. The judges suggested naming it
“Swan Lake”.

The 2nd print is “Top Model”.

And the winner was “Fore” which won a merit, 2nd Place (women’s category) and a Judges Award!

These images were taken of seniors from the Class of 2009. “Arabesque” is Anna Husemann from O’Fallon Township
High School, “Top Model” is of Tyler Ituen from Whitfield, and the winner “Fore” is Kate Grumke from Webster Groves High School.
