I had such a wonderful time photographing Ruth & Patrick’s Wedding
on December 18th, 2011. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Hanley
Road Baptist Church, and a wonderful reception at the Piper Palm House.
Butler’s Pantry provided a wonderful spread of food and drink and Jason
from Millenium Productions kept the party in full swing. To top it off they
had a Bag Pipe exit topped with sparklers.

Our Dear friends Harry & Janet saw their last child married on December 10, 2011. Congratulations to Elle & Mike who had their ceremony
at the beautiful St John Nepomuk Church highlighted by the processional being led by a bagpiper. Their reception was held at the
wonderfully decorated Monsanto Hall at the Missouri Botanical Gardens with lovely flowers by Tina Barrera and the delicious cake by Sugaree Baking Company.

We have finally made the move from Big Bend to Litzsinger. We are so excited to be in our new studio.
It has been a long venture but we are moved in and settling in very nicely. Our new address is 9420 Litzsinger.
We are right on the corner of Litzsinger and McKnight. We are kiddy corner from Tillis Park and right across
the street from the St. Louis Children’s Home. Our new phone number is (314) 962-5900. I know you will enjoy this
place as much as we do. Our studio outdoor garden and outdoor sets are going in this week.
We have 2 great studio rooms to photograph in and an attic to die for. Our new place has 4,000 square feet
and we are on an acre of land. I can’t tell you how excited I am about our new studio. But I have already said that.
I truly am very excited!!!!

Spring has finally arrived and I am looking forward to photographing families.
What makes a great family photo? First it would be great lighting.
I am always looking for great lighting.
The best light of the day is early morning or early evening. I always use
off camera flash which helps to brighten eyes and eye sockets. There is
nothing worse in a family photo than dark circles under the
eyes because the lighting was not perfect. Posing is also critical. Families
should be positioned in a way that each family member has a prominent
spot and each face can be seen. Also, each family member should be positioned
to the most flattering twist of the body. And finally, interaction. I love photographing
families that actually interact with each other. Interaction shows relationships.
Most photographers (including me) will start off with you looking at the camera.
But I always like ending up with the family having fun. Relationships is key in a
family photo. So, because I am so anxious to start photographing families again,
I am offering a tremendous special for the months of April, May and June.
