Meet our Class of 2013 spokesMODELS Part 1

Our spokesMODELS are the first to partake in all our new and different techniques. If it does not work on a spokesMODEL than we know we will not try it out on any of our senior clients. But if a spokesMODEL loves it than we will definitely offer it to our clients. As an artist, I am always striving to better myself as a photographer. I am always exploring different lighting techniques. Lighting is such an important part of a photograph that we use several different lighting styles to create a very pleasing image. Natural light is not always the best option. It may be the cheapest option but it may not always sculpt a body to create a desired image. On each model we used new and different types of lighting including several lights, reflectors and shaders in all of our outdoor and indoor images.

Posing is also key to a great photograph. Posing does not have to be stiff but I pride myself on bringing out the best feature in each one of my seniors. And sometimes just a little twist or turn or the placement of a leg or foot can make or break an image. No one has a perfect body but it is my job to make sure that each senior looks their best.

All of our spokesMODELS are good students and involved in activities in and out of school. Every year I am amazed as to how caring, thoughtful, and involved our models are. Every spokesMODEL is a paying client but by representing Nordmann Photograpy each spokesMODEL has the opportunity to earn discounts on their senior photos and cash rewards. They believe in our product and truly appreciate the Nordmann quality and are willing to shout out about us.

We are so excited to shout out about our 32 spokesMODELS representing 14 local high schools.

This is part 2 to yesterdays favorite senior pictures St. Louis. Today I wanted you to see some amazing St. Louis Senior Photos from some of our sessions. Check out the rest of our work on our web site www.nordmannphoto.com.

One of our most popular spots to be photographed is in our window seat just like Beth Sitterly from Webster Groves High School.

Forest Park in St. Louis has been a favorite for St. Louis Senior Photos. Chris Yount from MICDS was showing off his soccer skills.

The coveted ring light that makes everyone’s eyes look amazing. Alexa Franke from Clayton High School couldn’t look more beautiful with this light.

And we can be edgy with some photoshop skills. Paige Long from Mehlville High School was photographed right in our front yard of our studio.

We are in full swing photographing our Class of 2013 spokesMODELS for our high school senior photography. I was so surprised when Adalie Schmidt came with her mom to our info night a few weeks ago. I photographed Adalie’s mom and dad’s wedding several years ago. It is always such a delight when you run into past clients. Adalie is an amazing soccer player from Incarnate Word and has already signed with Iowa State. Here is her Video from her spokesMODEL session.

Social Media

I am so overwhelmed with social media. It has taken over my life. Facebook is all consuming but I love to keep up with my friends, family and customers to see what they are up to. I don’t post much on my personal Facebook page – just when inspired to do so – but will comment or “like” other friends comments. But our business pages – now that is another story. We have our business page Nordmann Photography that has to be attended to daily for our high school senior photography. We have another Facebook page Nordmann Portraits reserved mainly for children’s photography and family portraiture. Then we have Nordmann Weddings dedicated to all of our future and past brides. For the people wanting video we have Nordmann Video. Ok and I know this is getting ridiculous but how can we forget about our Sports Photography – Nordmann Sports. Oh and we can’t forget our latest endeavor and recent facebook site for the women who want to bring the sexy back into their lives Boudoir Black Diamond.

So I think I created a monster with all of these different pages but my justification is that we do have different audiences. I never want to bore people with Boudoir Photography if they were just interested in High School Senior Photography. Would a bride be interested in sports photography over wedding photography? So not only am I a photographer but also a social media designer and writer. Wait – I never signed up for this job as a social media guru. All I ever wanted to be was a photographer.

Stay tuned for tomorrows blog. I will be talking more about social media and time wasters such as Twitter, Instagram and now Pinterest. And guess who is wasting her time with all the above?
