This past weekend we photographed CSP Tideriders Swim Meet at the Clayton Shaw Park pool. This was our 20th year photographing this fantastic swim meet. CSP had over 700 swimmers from all over the country. We photographed the swimmers for three full days. We absolutely love CSP Tideriders – the coaches, parents and swimmers.Read More »
I really did retire from wedding photography. But how could I say no to the wonderful Pedroli family. I photographed Jessica Pedroli’s wedding 2 years ago and fell in love with this family. Soon after Jessica’s wedding, Kim – mom to Jessica and Amy – called me to say Amy was getting married. A long story short – and trying to say no gracefully – I graciously accepted the invitation to photograph Amy and Jon’s wedding. I new right away I would need a good team of photographers to help me with this special day. I incorporated the help of my son Timothy Nordmann and my friend and fellow colleague (and best wedding photographer in St. Louis) Susan Jackson.
The day was a long one. 12 hours. And at the end of the day I was exhausted but very pleased with the amazing pictures I knew we captured. Amy and Jon were married last Saturday, on March 22nd. The ceremony was at the College Church and the reception was at the Chase. How can any bride go wrong with those amazing venues.
I wanted to share some of my favorite images.
We started the day off with Susan photographing Jon and his groomsmen getting ready at the Pedroli house. And I ventured over to the Chase to get Amy and the girls getting ready.
Then we went to the College Church – St. Francis Xavier for the ceremony.
Our next stop of the day was off to Villa Duschene High School – Amy’s Alma Mater. Susan grabbed the girls and I grabbed the guys for some fun shots.
Then on to the St. Louis Arch for some Bride and Groom photos and Wedding Party photos. Susan took my favorite image of the day with Amy and her veil.
And the we headed back to the Chase for more photos and the reception. The reception hall was decorated so beautifully. The Pedroli’s had a candy table that extended the whole wall of the room. The variety of candy was mind blowing and fit right into the theme of the evening, MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS.
And who should show up for the best entertainment of the evening. None other than the mascots from the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Blues and University of Missouri.
I always end the evening with a romantic photo of the bride and groom. I absolutely love the beautiful connection between the two of them.
The Pedroli and Bennett families were so gracious and could not have been nicer. It was an honor to end my 20 year career of large event wedding photography with these amazing families.Read More »
